Ear Seeds: Gentle, Powerful, and Science-Backed

Ear seeds offer a gentle yet powerful form of auriculotherapy. These small, needle-free tools stimulate specific points on the ear to support both physical and emotional well-being.

Their therapeutic effect comes from the continuous, gentle pressure they apply to the nerve endings within the ear. This subtle stimulation sends signals to the brain, helping to regulate organ function, balance body systems, and promote overall harmony.

AcuKITS™ use latex-free Vaccaria ear seeds, derived from the Vaccaria segetalis plant (commonly known as cowherb or cow basil). For centuries, these tiny, spherical seeds have been a trusted natural method for activating acupuncture points—particularly those found on the ear.

HOW TO USE EAR SEEDS

  1. Wash hands & clean ear: wipe the outside of the ear with 70% rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Remove any earrings before applying ear seeds, as they may interfere with placement.

  2. Apply ear seeds: using the tweezers provided, place each ear seed on the chosen point on one or both ears and press gently to secure. Ear seeds can be applied to one ear or both — research shows that both methods are effective. For children over 8 years old or sensitive individuals, applying to one ear at a time is recommended. If possible, have someone you trust assist with the application for comfort and accuracy.

  3. Stimulate the points: ear seeds work without stimulation, but results improve if you press or massage each seed gently for 30 seconds, 2 times per day.

  4. Remove after 5 days: take seeds off with tweezers. Clean ears and reapply new ear seeds: If applying to just one ear, alternate sides every 4-5 days.

PRECAUTIONS

  • If you are feeling any discomfort after applying the seeds, remove them or apply less pressure when massaging them as to not damage the skin.

  • Some auricular points may feel more tender or sensitive than others — this is normal and indicates that the area is active and responding to stimulation.

  • To prevent infection make sure to clean hands and ear thoroughly.

  • Remove ear seeds immediately if irritation occurs or you suspect infection.

  • Do not use on broken or wounded skin.

  • Ear seeds are safe to wear in the shower. Try to keep them dry so the adhesive lasts longer.

  • AcuKITS™ are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or replace conventional medical therapies. Always consult your healthcare provider first.
